The hotel is fairly clean, nestled in the very beautiful building with incredibly attentive and caring staff. The room is recently refurbished and comfortable quiet and there are awesome views. The piano bar is pleasant, truly enjoyed this place. The venue is definitely recommended to all.

Newly remodelled room, spotless, with a special note from the family, an excellent bathroom and excellent facility.
Wi-Fi was very spotty.

What a fantastic stay! The Classic Double Room was spacious and immaculate, and the breakfast was great with freshly prepared items. The lovely gesture of a crib and games for our granddaughter.

The staff is in my opinion excellent. The restaurant also deserves a visit.
I was surprised that there was not enough place for everybody for breakfast so the guests were asked to wait in a hall until a table would be free. Of course the staff tried to make this the least inconvenient as possible, but it is something I wouldn't expect in such a hotel. Probably it was just an exception?

The hotel had an amazing location near an applied art museum. The accommodation was in front of the train station. The double room was brand-new and elegant, with a mini bar and a coffee/tea maker.

Try to request the luxury spa facilities ahead of time. They often book up quickly and are a hidden gem.

This hotel was very professional from the moment we walked in. The room was very nice, the bathroom especially. The staff helped immediately with dinner arrangements outside of the hotel and also offered guidance on sight seeing with a map.

Location right in front of the Hauptbanhof and Kolner Dom.
As with many hotels in the area the breakfast is way too expensive, regardless of how much you can manage to eat from the buffet in the morning.

Ernst am Dom is a beautiful old lady. The hotel offers much style and tradition in a city that had lost most of that in the War. Staff is very friendly, the silent corridors and comfortable rooms (and especially bathrooms!) make for a very pleasant stay. Several details (even the Koelsch beer in the free minibar) distinguish this hotel from standardized city hotels.
A spa / pool area is missing.

I had a suprior room but the organisation of the rome was poor, the curtains were torn, the bath and the room were too small for 5 stars hotel and everyone was keen to serve you because they expect you to tip them in return rather than as part of the service the hotel provides. Worst still, internet access is very, very expensive while other less glamours hotels offer it free. No parking facilities. In short, it wasn't worth half the price.

Prime location, Unique architecture, Efficient valet parking
The lack of key card systems feels outdated!!! Noise disturbances from events and poor soundproofing can overshadow the hotel's appeal.
